This is the A La Card Monkey Challenge 67: Celebration
As soon as I seen this and had to use flags, I immediately thought of the checkered flag from racing. Maybe it was because I just got through watching my husband watch racing,. Anyhow, my son loved this Need for Speed Stamp set and I've been wanting to create a card with it. I used red, yellow, black and white color combo for a punch. Here is my card
Materials Used:
Basic Black, Real Red, Yellow and Whisper White Card Stock.

Salt & Pepper Sketch from alacardmonkey

I participated in another fun challenge from alacardmonkey.blogspot.com (a super cute site)! I was actually a Guest Designer - woot woot!
The sketch this time was salt & pepper, I'm actually a pepper girl myself - love it! In this sketch you could only use black & white or gray, I came up with two designs - I love black & white together, I think it looks so crisp and clean.

So here's the sketch and here's my cards, if you want to have fun stop by alacardmonkey.blogspot.com!

Wedding Ensemble

This is my first wedding ensemble; favors, invites and rsvp cards. The bride is a friend from church and  wanted red, black and white. I used real red, basic black, whisper white and some scrapbook paper from Michael's craft store. I'm so excited to get these all completed. What do you all think, it's not your traditional white invite.

Christmas in July

I was invited by a fellow blogger to a fun sketch challenge http://www.alacardmonkey.blogspot.com/! The sketch challenge was Christmas in July so I thought I would play with a monochrome look. I used early espresso, suede and very vanilla cardstock, the dasher stamp set and embossing folder with vintage lace ribbon and a little splash of glitter. What do you think?

Wedding Favors

Here are the wedding favors I'm working on (150 of them)! This is basic black cardstock cut from the pillow box die, wrapped with white organza ribbon and a real red paper flower (made with the scallop punch - super easy and cute) adorned with antique brad. I'm not sure what the bride is putting in them yet.

Started a Blog - what now?

So after a little prodding from some friends I've decided to create my own crafting blog. Luckily I have wedding invites/favors, birthday invites and a craft bazaar in July. I hope to have plenty to share with you over the next couple of weeks. I'm super excited about the wedding invites and favors. The bride wanted red, black and white. I should have post next week showing you the invites and favors and how they were created. I hope you will enjoy.
Til then I'm off to a family outing for the 4th. Have a safe and happy 4th of July!
