Pinterest for the Weekend

Yes, I admit it... I'm addicted to Pinterest. I have found all kind of neat, cute, yummy ideas on Pinterest. Most of the time I wonder if I'll ever do any of them, however I did find time this weekend to try out taco bowls. As soon as I seen these little mini bowls I knew my kids would love them. So off to the store to purchase 6" tortillas. The picture below shows my finished creation along with ground turkey. chopped tomatoes, cheese, shredded lettuce and some sourcream. It was a fun novelty,  got the kids to eat veggies and the shell was yummy to eat afterwards! I made a few extra so they could have them at school for lunch the next day, it was obviously a hit with the other kids.
So as Pinterest says you take your 6" tortillas sprinkle with a little water, pop in the micro for a minute then spray each side with cooking spray. Take your muffin tins flip them upside down and place your tortillas in between the cups to create the bowl - 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes and poof - magic taco bowls!

I'm back!

Well my crafting has taken a back seat to school. I'm going back to school for a Marketing Management Degree. This is something that has been on the top of my goal list and I'm finally ready to finish it. I'm making a little change to the blog. I'm not just CurlyQCrafter, I'm CurlyQMomma. I hope to impart some fun blogs and tell you all about my school, my teens, my parties, my food and my travels.
This begins a new chapter!

This is the A La Card Monkey Challenge 67: Celebration
As soon as I seen this and had to use flags, I immediately thought of the checkered flag from racing. Maybe it was because I just got through watching my husband watch racing,. Anyhow, my son loved this Need for Speed Stamp set and I've been wanting to create a card with it. I used red, yellow, black and white color combo for a punch. Here is my card
Materials Used:
Basic Black, Real Red, Yellow and Whisper White Card Stock.
Need for Speed stamp set with clear embossing powder

Salt & Pepper Sketch from alacardmonkey

I participated in another fun challenge from alacardmonkey.blogspot.com (a super cute site)! I was actually a Guest Designer - woot woot!
The sketch this time was salt & pepper, I'm actually a pepper girl myself - love it! In this sketch you could only use black & white or gray, I came up with two designs - I love black & white together, I think it looks so crisp and clean.

So here's the sketch and here's my cards, if you want to have fun stop by alacardmonkey.blogspot.com!
